West Ham United have wasted no time in strengthening the squad for the summer, after they announced that the arrival of Algerian winger Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer.
After leaving Spanish outfit Valencia, Sofiane Feghouli has been looking for a new home. He will be on the books of West Ham at least for the next three years. The 26-year-old will provide substantial strength to the wings. Manager Slaven Bilic was looking to strengthen this area since it did not look like the permanent deal for keeping Victor Moses was going to happen.
Moses spent the last season on loan from Chelsea, who may decide to sell him to other clubs rather than to one of the local rivals.Feghouli will become part of the dressing room when his contract with Valencia comes to an end in the next two weeks. The 26-year-old claimed that the history of the club was a major factor in convincing him to move to the Olympic stadium.Feghouli will have no experience of Upton Park after West Ham left their home for more than 100 years to secure a move to the brand-new Olympic stadium, which has much bigger capacity.
After starting his career with French outfit Grenoble,Feghouli has been with Valencia for the last six years. During this period, he scored 42 goals in just under 250 appearances.”I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic.
